’Akafunboya’ souvenirs

赤ふん坊やグッズ

Takahama’s mascot ’Akafunboya’ was created in 1988 to promote the town of Takahama (Fukui) to the whole country. He is a baby wearing a red (akai) traditional Japanese loincloth (fundoshi), which is how he earned his name. A symbol of the town, he is a popular mascot character adored by the locals.
