Takahama Fishing Culture Museum

Currently closed due to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
It is said that Takahama’s fishing industry dates all the way back to the Jomon Period, and over time this intrinsic connection to the ocean has become an important part of Takahama’s rich history and culture.
The cultural museum exhibits many traditional fisherman’s tools and equipment, with historical explanations on fishing techniques, as well as information about how the local fishing culture has evolved throughout the ages.
