Shiroyama Beach

With its crystal-clear waters, soft sandy shores, and breathtaking coastal scenery, Shiroyama Beach is truly a paradise for ocean lovers and one of Japan’s best hidden beach spots.

Adjacent to the verdant Shiroyama Park, visitors can explore forested hill paths, enjoy panoramic views from the observation deck, and marvel at the horizon through Meikyodo Cave, a massive stone arch shaped by millennia of coastal erosion. During the summer months, the surrounding waters are relatively calm, making this an ideal spot for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and snorkeling.

TIPS

・During the summer season, pop into a beach-stand restaurant for food and refreshments

・Watch out for sea urchin, especially in rocky areas

・A designated BBQ can be found next to the beach

・Tents and tarps can be set-up anywhere on the beach and grass lawn but please remove them after sunset as overnight camping is not allowed
