Shirahama Beach & Toriihama Beach

Alongside Shiroyama Park, both Shirahama Beach and Toriihama Beach have gentle waves and beautiful clear water. The small bays are a good size for children, and there’s a nice pine grove behind the beach.

Important points

AED machines are installed at the “Maruhama boat” beach hut.
Camping on the beach and BBQ’s outside the designated area are prohibited.
Please remove tents and tarps before sunset.

Access	Walk: 20 mins. walk from JR Wakasa-Takahama Station. Car: 20 mins. drive by car from Oi-Takahama IC on Maizuru-Wakasa Expressway.
Parking	The surrounding parking lot can accommodate about 450 cars. Standard vehicles: start from 1,000 yen per vehicle

Camping & BBQ's

Wakasa Shirahama BBQ Park

BBQ facility located right on the beach of Shirahama beach. The 11 compartments all have tables, benches, stoves and parasols. Reservation is required.
Shirahama Beach BBQ Designated Area

Only open during the beach season. There are 2 designated areas for having BBQ's on the beach of Shirahama beach. There is also a washing area. You can't make reservations.
